This Is What Adoption Is All About

I came into the dining room today to find my daughter drawing this picture on our dry erase board. This is what adoption is all about. A simple picture of a happy house drawn by the child who grew in your heart.

Have you seen it?

Have you seen how blog land has been coming together to raise funds for each other's adoptions? Have you seen it? I am blessed by the things I've read in the past few days!

Yulia's funds are raised.

Lynette making a quilt and then selling the the appliques she designed so that others may make a quilt while raising funds for her friend, Holly's, adoption.

I am blessed by the actions of God's people. Truly blessed!

Garden Party

I belong to a wonderful adoption support group. The families represented are as diverse as the countries we have adopted from.

I hosted a fun little garden party to celebrate the beginning of fall. You can read about it here!

I love my adoption support group!

April is coming....

I have a friend who has a little boy who was born in April 2006. She was remarking that Kai would be 3 on his birthday and I remembered. I remembered that during the Christmas season when we found out about the baby we wanted to adopt, I said to my husband, pointing to Kai, this is where we will be next Christmas. I remember thinking that Kai would be one in the same month that our baby boy would be born. And so I remembered, that our son would be two this April. And I morn, again.

One Year Anniversary

It's been one year that we found out we would not be adopting our dear sweet baby.

Great Sadness

Sigh!
